The Hang Seng Index soared 2.60 percent, or 489.67 points, to 19,350.62.
The Shanghai Composite Index jumped 1.26 percent, or 40.35 points, to 3,236.48, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange added 1.39 percent, or 28.23 points, to 2,059.00.
