Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks rose Tuesday after Chinese authorities signalled fresh moves to support the economy after unveiling measures to help the struggling property sector.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.97 percent, or 180.11 points, to 18,659.83.
The Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.55 percent, or 17.67 points, to 3,221.37, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange gained 0.79 percent, or 16.10 points, to 2,052.93.
