Hong Kong stocks opened slightly lower Tuesday morning as a rally fuelled by last week's soft US inflation data ran out of steam.
The Hang Seng Index dipped 0.09 percent, or 17.53 points, to 19,289.06.
The Shanghai Composite Index eased 0.08 percent, or 2.74 points, to 3,241.23, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange lost 0.08 percent, or 1.62 points, to 2,058.51.
