Hong Kong stocks ended with another big loss Wednesday as traders await Federal Reserve boss Jerome Powell's testimony to Congress later in the day, hoping for an insight into the bank's plans for interest rates.
The Hang Seng Index dived 1.98 percent, or 388.73 points, to close at 19,218.35.
The Shanghai Composite Index shed 1.31 percent, or 42.46 points, to 3,197.90, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange slipped 1.95 percent, or 40.53 points, to 2,039.91.
